-
In Final Cut Pro, do one of the post-obit:
-
Record using the built-in camera: Click the Import Media push button in the toolbar.
-
Record using an external photographic camera: Connect the camera to your Mac with a FireWire cable, then click the Import Media button in the toolbar.
-
-
In the Cameras listing on the left side of the Media Import window, select the photographic camera you want to import from.
A live video image from the camera appears in the Media Import window.
-
Click Import.
-
In the window that appears, cull how yous want to organize the imported media in your library:
-
Add the imported clips to an existing event: Select "Add to existing event," and then choose the issue from the pop-upward menu.
-
Create a new event: Select "Create new event in," use the popular-up bill of fare to choose the library in which you desire to create the event, then type a proper noun (for case, "Chris and Kim Wedding") in the text field.
To learn more about events, see Intro to libraries in Final Cutting Pro. If you want to import media into a new library, yous must create the new library earlier importing your media.
-
-
If you want to override automated part assignment, create optimized or proxy media, clarify the video, or clarify the audio, select the relevant settings in the Sound Roles, Transcoding, and Analyze sections.
If you don't prepare Final Cut Pro to analyze your media during the import process, you can analyze it later on in the browser.
-
When you're ready to begin recording, click Import.
The photographic camera begins recording immediately.
-
When y'all want to cease recording, click Terminate Import.
A new video clip is created. You lot can click Import to brainstorm recording again. Y'all tin can repeat this process equally many times as necessary.
